Everyday, I hear people talking about their age. Do you know how old I am? I'm not a your mate? I am not getting any younger. Blah blah blah. On so many instances however, when you get behind this noise to see the real person in these aged men and women, you'll find it hard to match the two.
For me, being an adult is a disposition. It is a lifestyle. Its an attitude towards life!
An adult is, the man who sees the weakness in a child's behavior and realizes that he was once like them. He doesn't beat a child to vent his anger but is patient with them.

An adult is the woman who has a hold of her emotions. She doesn't speak exactly what she hears in her head but what she feels in her heart.

An adult is the young man who takes responsibility for the life he lives. He works to pay his bills and doesn't run away from the mess he created with a woman.

An adult is the woman who in the face of ridicules still owns up to her faults. She doesn't bring to stop the life of a helpless child but takes responsibility for her actions.

An adult is the man who is emotionally intelligent. He let's his head and not his ear lead him. He raises not his finger on a woman and he has the respect of his 5 year old.

An adult is the woman who carries her home like its her life. She knows her duties as a mother and fails not to give 'honor to whom it is due'. She doesn't belittle the man by her side with her words nor does she drag positions with him.

An adult is the man who let's not his legs make decisions. He thinks of his wife, his children and himself before going after that immediate gratification.

An adult is that Nigerian who is diligent with his work. He does not wait to be coerced by anybody to give his best to his fatherland and is productive. He does not mix work with pleasure.

An adult is everything mature. He is everything wise, he is everything planning, he is everything humble, he is everything patient, he is everything but aging.
Decide on which today, to age or to grow.
