It's that time of year again; the rush hour. Preparations are in full swing and no one wants to loose a moment. Our boxes are almost fully packed for the yearly ritual and many are embarked on a journey already. On this year's reunion, I want to share with us, what I call 'the colors of Christmas'.
Christmas is red: Christmas is a time to show love. Christmas celebrations brings families together. Do not disrupt this love feast with your showoffs. You shouldn't rub shoulders with the people you love. Now do not focus on showing the world how much better you are than your brother this year, show him some love; pay for what he cannot afford.
Christmas is white: When you get to home, you will see people that aren't doing so well. Some of these persons worked harder than you did during the year. The year was not just smooth for them. Do not rob them of their joy this season by rubbing your wealth on their faces. Christmas is a joyful season and not a time to remember failures.
Christmas is green: You will equally meet people whom are better of than you are, do not be jealous of them. Christmas celebrates life, it brings us hope. Do not be in a hurry to purchase that handbag just to belong. What you do not have today, you can have tomorrow. Again, don't let anyone push you into wearing the rush hour look, there is nobody to please. Be yourself and be grateful for what you have.
Remember, it's not the few days of the celebration that counts, its the moment shared, don't spoil it.
