My sincere apologies for the break in transmission. The past week came fully packed.
Somewhere last Saturday, a young man left his bride at the altar. They had dated for complete 4 years and both saw their marriage as inevitable. But during the Bachelor's eve party, Brenda was asked the question, '' Who is your dream man?''. To the dismay of the gathered mammoth, none of her answers described Paul. The rest is a story. There is just one thing in life for which we can truly decide what we want; its the choice of a life partner. As a Lady/Young man, what exactly do you want from a man/woman? Do you want him fair skinned? Do you prefer him shorter? Do you want him educated? Do you want him really wealthy? What exactly makes you happy? The answer to these questions are more important than getting a partner.
Each of us are half full vessels, in search of our wine bottle. Our vessels are unique and only recognise a particular wine taste. This taste is our spec.
What happens when you don't know the taste of your wine?
You go with the crowd. Yes! Asides from having the right to choose our wine bottle, we also have the power to influence each others taste bud. When you have no choice, your family, friends, peers will force their own wine down your throat. They don't do this to hurt you. NO, they actually believe they are giving you the best. They love the taste of that wine and that's why they want you to have it, they love you.
Why you should not drink the wrong wine
You'll never be satisfied. You'll crave for more and you'll keep craving until you either force that wine out of your system or you yourself get destroyed. And just as in every other wrong decision we take, it's not just you that is affected, your other half bears the heat even worse than you do. Because he/she doesn't seem to understand why they are never good enough for you. But its a very simple logic; A round peg cannot fit in a square hole.
Paul was fortunate to find out at the eleventh hour, how distasteful he was to Brenda. A good number go through with the drink and it stays on their throat forever. Protect yourself and your loved one today, know your spec!

Lol... I read these with so much energy and trust me, your literary analogy of a life partner using a wine really helped the message sank deeper. I like how you mildly sell your ideas, and believe me, at the moment that you've never had to contend with my agreement. You always win me over...
ReplyDeleteAnd believe me, this is top notch, Claire!
Dear Maverique, I'm glad you got the message. Thank you so much for the wonderful compliments. They are deeply appreciated.
DeleteThe use of wine in the analogy had me like "Mad o" . This is good Claire. More ink to your pen
